Monumental corridors

The 1888 decorative paint scheme has been restored to the monumental corridors on the third floor of the Capitol.

The 1888 decorative paint has been restored to the main public corridors on the third floor. The black and white marble floor and woodwork have also been restored.

Investigative paint studies revealed extensive decorative designs in historic chambers, offices, and monumental corridors in the 1888 and 1890 sections of the Capitol.
